A CRITICAL REVIEW OF PARADADI MALAHARA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF DUSTAVRANA W.S.R TO DIABETIC FOOT ULCER

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is a strict systematic discipline that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable hypothesis and predictions. Thus the scientific approach to understand anything involves observation, measurement of entities, the accumulation of data and analysis of findings distinguished from an intuitive approach. Pramehajanya dustavrana can be correlated to Diabetic foot ulcer. The general line of management of Pramehajanya dustavrana mentioned by Acharya Susrutha says that one should adopt the principle and protocol of Dustavrana management. Diabetic foot ulcer exhibit delay in the formation of granulation tissue due to extended inflammatory phase, thus it is challenging to both patient and physician.This review is an attempt to analyse the probable mode of action of Paradadi Malahara mentioned in Rasayogasagara pakaradi prakarana which gives deep insight about the use of formulation with a better understanding.
