INTEGRATED AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF A NON-HEALING ULCER WITH CHRONIC OSTEOMYELITIS USING KSHARSUTRA, PANCHAVALKALA KWATHA, AND JATYADI TAILA: A CASE STUDY
*Dr. Gaurav Prakash Londhe and Dr. Monika Shrawan Patwari
ABSTRACT This case report presents the Ayurvedic management of chronic osteomyelitis-associated Nadivrana in a 48-year-old male, with a non-healing ulcer and multiple sinus tracts. After failed surgical interventions, he was treated with Panchavalkala. Kwatha Dhavana, Ksharsutra therapy, and internal Ayurvedic medications. The treatment led to complete wound healing over 60 days, as documented by clinical images. This case exemplifies how classical Ayurvedic principles can be effectively applied in chronic osteomyelitis and sinus management. The use of Ksharsutra in non-anorectal sinuses, supported by local and systemic Ayurvedic medicines, offers a promising integrative strategy for resistant musculoskeletal infections. Keywords: Nadivrana, Chronic Osteomyelitis, Ksharsutra, Panchavalkala, Jatyadi Taila, Dushta Vrana, Sequestrum, Ayurveda, Non-healing Wound. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
