AESTHETIC AND FUNCTIONAL REHABILITATION USING A LITHIUM DISILICATE ENDOCROWN: A CLINICAL CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT The restoration of endodontically treated molars presents challenges due to the loss of mechanical characteristics. The conventional approach involves post-core systems, but advancements in adhesive systems have led to the emergence of the endocrown as a promising alternative. Endocrowns are single prosthesis made from reinforced ceramics, offer stability and retention without the need for intraradicular anchorage. They replace traditional post-core and full-coverage restorations, reducing treatment time and promoting aesthetic and functional recovery. Clinical studies demonstrate the longevity and efficacy of endocrowns in addressing extensive coronal destruction in molars following endodontic treatment.
