REVIEW ON CHALLENGES AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF PSORIASIS
Krishan Lamba, Sunil Jawla, Amit Lather and Rakesh Redhu*
ABSTRACT The autoimmune condition psoriasis is caused by keratinocytes that proliferate repeatedly. On average, 2–5% of people worldwide are affected by it. Psoriasis management continues to be a difficult undertaking, with a number of obstacles impacting therapy, with adherence and patient compliance, sensitive skin, psychological factors and patient profiles acting as a barrier to topical application. Improvements in topical therapies that make use of microneedles and carriers based on nanoparticles can increase therapeutic results and drug delivery. Translating these scientific discoveries into clinical practice requires cooperation between researchers, physicians, and industrial players. We can enhance psoriasis treatment and the quality of life for people with this chronic ailment by tackling present issues and investigating these encouraging trends.
