UTERINE FIBROIDS: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF PATHOPHYSOLOGY, DIAGNOSIS & MANAGEMENT
Surinder Singh, Asha Devi*, Anupama Kumari, Muskan Sharma and Priyanka Koundal
ABSTRACT The genesis and pathophysiology of uterine fibroids, also referred to as leiomyomas or myomas, are frequently benign tumors that occur in women of reproductive age. Although fibroids are common, their exact cause is still unknown, but growth factors, hormone imbalances, and inheritance all play important roles. This review explores the underlying molecular pathways and genetic predispositions and discusses diagnostic tools, such as imaging techniques and histological investigation, to provide a thorough picture of contemporary approaches. The article also discusses new developments and potential career paths in a variety of therapeutic approaches, from pharmaceutical treatments to surgical methods. In order to improve patient outcomes and clinician judgment, this review aims to give a comprehensive overview of uterine fibroids. Keywords: myomas, benign tumor, uterine fibroids, smooth muscle tumor, cervical fibroids. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
