THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF ASHWAGANDHA: A DRAVYAGUNA PERSPECTIVE

ABSTRACT A popular herb in Ayurveda, ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is known for its neuroprotective, rejuvenating, and adaptogenic properties. Ashwagandha's therapeutic potential can be best appreciated by examining its Rasa (taste), Guna (qualities), Virya (potency), Vipaka (post-digestive impact), and Prabhava (unique action) through the prism of Dravyaguna, the Ayurvedic science of medicinal properties.
