SPECTROSCOPIC EVALUATION OF PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE: A REVIEW OF UV AND FTIR ANALYTICAL METHODS
Kale Rushikesh Adinath*, Jori Vikas Babasaheb, Kadnar Ashvini Sopan and Upadhye Shekhar A.
ABSTRACT Pyridoxine hydrochloride, a vital vitamin B6 derivative, requires precise analytical methods for quality control and pharmaceutical applications. This review aims to consolidate existing research on the spectroscopic evaluation of pyridoxine HCl using Ultraviolet (UV) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The paper discusses the principles, advantages, and limitations of these techniques in determining the molecular structure, purity, and concentration of pyridoxine HCl. Various studies demonstrate the efficacy of UV spectroscopy in detecting pyridoxine HCl’s characteristic absorption peaks, while FTIR spectroscopy provides valuable insights into its molecular vibrations and functional group analysis. The review also highlights method validation parameters, such as linearity, sensitivity, and specificity, and compares the results with other analyticaltechniques. The compiled information provides a comprehensive understanding of the spectroscopic properties of pyridoxine HCl, facilitating the development of reliable and efficient analytical protocols for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.
