ABSTRACT

Hair is imperative part of human body. Due to use of various chemicals and synthetic compound it usually causes destructive effects. A variety of herbal plants are used to promote hair growth, controlling hair fall, prevent dandruff and greying hair. This research focuses on creating and testing a new herbal hair emulgel with natural extracts that are well- known for nourishing hair. By combining the benefits of emulsions and gels, the emulgel offers a stable and convenient formulation. Important herbal ingredients were added because they are known to help with hair growth, controlling hair loss, preventing dandruff and premature hair greying. These include Indian gooseberry (Amla) and Curry leaves. In order to achieve the ideal stability and viscosity, the emulgel was prepared by mixing the appropriate amounts of emulsifiers, and gelling agents. The pH, viscosity, spreadability, stability and washability of the emulgel wereall evaluated in the evaluation studies.

Keywords: Emulgel, Curry leaves, Indian gooseberry, Emulsifiers, Gelling agent.
