ABSTRACT

In the current era, co-morbidities have become increasingly prevalent, with hypertension being one of the most common conditions. Often referred to as the "silent killer" due to its asymptomatic nature, hypertension is defined by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) as blood pressure exceeding 140/90 mm Hg. It is frequently diagnosed incidentally or identified as a secondary condition. Ayurveda, a holistic and traditional system of medicine, offers cost-effective and effective treatments for managing hypertension. One such therapy is Siropichu, known for its benefits in treating Sirorogas (diseases of the head). An observational study was conducted on a 40-year-old male patient, where Siropichu was administered using Ksheerabala taila for 30 minutes daily over 20 days. Blood pressure measurements taken before and after the treatment showed a significant reduction of 10 mm Hg in systolic and 5 mm Hg in diastolic pressure.

Keywords: Hypertension, Ksheerabala taila, Pranavrita vyana vata, Siropichu.
