ABSTRACT The lipid substance known as a "liposome" is composed of one or more phospholipid bilayers. Phospholipid bilayers that include both hydrophilic and lipophilic substances form the circular vesicles known as liposomes. Research has also been carried out regarding potential application of liposomes in the treatment of cancer. Liposomes are immunogenic, biocompatible, biodegradable, and nontoxic, providing them a number of benefits. The research study discusses liposome-based pharmaceutical distribution from a range of aspects, including their structure, methods, challenges, and subsequent advancements in the field. The passive transport system utilized to arrange many drugs, or dynamic chemicals, is a liposome. These are necessary for the treatment of many diseases. Since a liposome is a very effective drug delivery system that can target a dynamic medication to a sustainableregion of the body without entangling or damaging the other section, it is also known as the targeted passive transport system. The vesicular system is another name for these. They include long-chain unsaturated fats, monolayer amino acids, sphingolipids, glycolipids, cholesterol, non-toxic surfactants, and dynamic particles in colloidal spheres. Keywords: Liposomes, drug transport, drug targeting, novel delivery. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
