UNUSUAL COMPLICATIONS IN PEDIATRIC STERIOD-SENSITIVE NEPHROTIC SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT
Gandham Dhanush*, Dudekula Sai Harish Babu, Vineela Meruva, Chakali Vandana, Pavan Kalyan Laddagiri
ABSTRACT The most prevalent glomerular disease in children globally is nephrotic syndrome(SSNS) being a common recurrent renal condition marked by oedema and severe proteinuria. In this case report, a 7- year old girl was sent to the hospital due to respiratory symptoms, decreased urine output, facial puffiness, and vomiting. SSNS with markedly increased urine-protein ratio, puscells, epithelial cells, and electrolyte abnormalities were validated by laboratory studies. For effective management, the example emphasises the value of early diagnosis, ongoing monitoring, and a multidisciplinary approach. Enhancing treatment results and avoiding relapses requires patient education on lifestyle changes, especially dietary practices and supportive care. Keywords: Steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome, Corticosteroids, Nephrotic syndrome. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
