ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to evaluate the levels of iron, sulfate, and chloride in water samples from nearby lakes and rivers. Groundwater samples were taken from two locations that gather Sutlej water in a particular proportion, and the samples were evaluated using standard pharmaceutical limits. For these tests, 1.5 liters of river water were sent to the lab for analysis. All three metals were found to be within permissible limits. Although Test 1opalescence was below average, it was still within permissible limits. The Sutlej sample contained lower levels of chloride than the Govind Sagar sample, which had the lowest level. While Test 1 complied with the necessary standards, Test 2 displayed the least amount of turbidity for the Sulphate Limit Test. Sulfate levels were within allowed limits but below the suggested amount. Although the iron contents in the Sutlej and Govind Sagar Lake samples and the standard sample were lowerthan the standard, they were still substantially within the established acceptable limits. In conclusion, the amounts of iron, sulfate, and chloride were measured in water samples from Sutlej and Govind Sagar Lake. The fi ndings confirmed previous studies demonstrating a low and acceptable metal presence in clean freshwater sources since all detected values were below permissible boundaries.
