*Rushikesh Samal, Sayali Gaikwad, Vikas Chaurasiya, Durva Sarambale and Dr. Preeti Kulkarni

ABSTRACT

This article explores the vital role that pharmacists play in the care and management of individuals living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Pharmacists are essential members of the healthcare team for HIV patients, providing a range of services that go beyond medication dispensing. The article discusses the pharmacist's role in HIV care, including medication management, adherence support, monitoring for side effects, and addressing stigma and discrimination. Pharmacists also play a crucial role in educating patients about their condition, providing emotional support, and advocating for policies that improve access to care. As the field of HIV care continues to evolve, the role of pharmacists is expected to expand further. Pharmacists are well-positioned to continue making significant contributions to HIV care through initiatives such as HIV testing and prevention, managementof co- morbidities, and advocacy for policies that improve access to care.
