THE ANTIVIRAL POTENTIAL OF ANDROGRAPHIS PANICULATA: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

ABSTRACT Andrographis paniculata, is also known as known as "King of Bitters," is a well-known medicinal herb known for its potent Antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and hepatoprotective properties. This review comprehensively explores the pharmacological significance of Andrographis paniculata. A key focus of this review is the Anti-viral activity of Andrographis paniculata. The Andrographis paniculata contain andrographolide show the anti-viral activity against SARS-CoV-2, Dengue virus, HIV, Hepatitis. The antiviral activity of andrographolide contain inhibition of viral replication. The review further discusses the mechanisms by which these herbs exert their pharmacological effects, particularly include their role in modulating inflammatory pathways, Antiviral activity, enhancing immune response, and providing antioxidant benefits. By integrating traditional knowledge with modern phytopharmaceutical advancements, this review aims to provide a clinical studies suggest its efficacy and safety.Future research should focus on improved bioavailability of Andrographis paniculata.
