MICROSPONGES: A NOVEL STRATEGY IN THE TREATMENT OF PEPTIC ULCERS
*Deepshikha Tiwari
ABSTRACT Microsponges are porous microspheres used in polymeric delivery systems that range in size from 5 to 300 micrometres. They have been researched for use in biological applications such as bone substitutes, transdermal drug administration, targeted medication delivery, and anticancer drug delivery. Porous microspheres are used to create microsponges, which are delivery systems for polymers. They are spherical molecules with a huge porous surface that resemble microscopic sponges. Additionally, they might enhance stability, lessen adverse effects, and favourably alter medication release. Numerous advantageous features of microsponge technology make it a flexible medication release method. Peptic ulcer, also known as stomach ulcer, is a breakage of mucosal lining of stomach, first section of the small intestine and sometimes in the lower esophagus. Microsponges drug delivery system can be used in the treatment ofpeptic ulcers disease. Keywords: Microsponges, Novel, Peptic Ulcer, Oral Drug, Stability. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
