EFFECT OF TALESWAR RAS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF VICHARCHIKA W.S.R TO ECZEMA

ABSTRACT

As per ancient Ayurvedic scholars for getting a desirable outcome of any medication, it should be precisely analysed before prescribing to the patient. There are numbers of classical formulations successfully practiced by Ayurvedic physicians for treating various ailments but in maximum cases there is lack of data regarding their details and mechanism of action. Such one multidrug classical formulation is Taleshwar ras. According to Rasendra Sara Sangraha Taleswar ras have been used in Ayurvedic Rasashastra to treat various types of diseases related to Tvak such as vicharchika (eczema), kandu and kitiba kusta. As this formulation contains of various kustaghna, kandughna properties it is very effective in treating twak vikaras. This review is an attempt to explain probable mode of action of taleswar ras in the treatment of vicharchika that which is generally correlated with modern times eczema. Analysis of mode of action gives deep insight about use of formulation with a better understanding.
