BULLOUS PEMPHIGOID: A RARE AUTOIMMUNE BLISTERING DISEASE: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT Bullous Pemphigoid, a rare autoimmune skin disorder affecting older adults, was diagnosed in a 68-year-old female presenting with fluid-filled lesions, intense itching, and red raw areas on her abdomen, back, and limbs, requiring hospitalization. The diagnosis is confirmed through biopsy and laboratory evaluations. Her medical history includes Type2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and Hypertension (HTN), managed with regular medications. Treatment involved systemic corticosteroids, adjunctive immunomodulatory therapy, and optimal management of comorbities, resulting in improved therapeutic outcomes.
