ABSTRACT The most effective and widely used internal route of pharmaceuticaladministration is still oral medicine delivery. Another acceptablechoice for limiting a drug's side effects and enhancing its therapeuticpotency is a sustained release. Over the past three decades, there hasbeen a greater emphasis on developing sustained or controlled releasedrug delivery systems (DDS) due to the increased expenses andcomplications of marketing new drugs and the recognition of theirtherapeutic benefits.
