A TREATMENT ON NEW EMERGING OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER

ABSTRACT OCD is a complex disorder which requires multifaceted approach to manage effectively. It is a new emerging disorder comprises various complication on Central Nervous System and having some treatment like traditional and advanced like Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) CBT (Congestive Behavioural Therapy), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), TCA (Tricyclic antidepressants), SNRIs like venlafaxine(Effexor), Antipsychotics, SSRIs (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) are often the first treatment for OCD helps to increase serotonin level in the brain which can reduce obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviour like Escitalopram, sertraline, fluvoxamine etc. and comprises several relaxation techniques that can help individual with OPCD manage stress effectively like box technique, progressive muscle relaxation,visualization etc. In the future perspective it will be helpful.
