ABSTRACT

Mucin are highly glycosylated proteins secreted by animals for various functions, including hydration and lubrication. Snails produce mucin proteins in their mucous for microbial protection, adhesion, and hydration. Snail mucin has wound healing properties, Anti-aging, anti-acne properties, moisturizing and hydration properties etc. It explores the research on snail mucin in cosmetics and medicine, highlighting its potential benefits and applications.
