AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF PARIPLUTA YONIVYAPAD: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT Yonivyapad is a compilation of various disorders of the genital tract ranging from vulva till the uterus. They compromise of 70% of the gynaecological problems encountered in women’s life mostly of the reproductive age. Paripluta yonivyapad is a disorder of female genital tract due to vitiation of vata and pitta dosha characterized by inflammation in yoni, tenderness, bluish yellow bleeding per vaginum, fever, dyspareunia, pain in lower abdomen and pelvic region. Symptoms of Paripluta yonivyapad are much similar to pelvic inflammatory disease. PID is responsible for a considerable disease burden and represents an important healthcare issue worldwide.
