ABSTRACT Hypertension (HTN), or high blood pressure, is a leading cause of cardiovascular diseases worldwide and is associated with an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. Although pharmaceutical treatments are widely prescribed, many individuals turn to herbal remedies as alternative or complementary approaches due to their perceived safety and efficacy. This review article explores various herbal plants with potential antihypertensive properties, discussing their mechanisms of action, clinical evidence, and safety profiles. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of the herbal remedies that have been studied for managing hypertension.
