MASANUMASIKA GARBHINI PARICHARYA: RELEVANCE IN MODERN ERA

ABSTRACT The care of pregnant women reflects on the quality & health of the offspring, giving birth to a healthy child is important to all, hence a pregnant woman deserves utmost importance in the society. In modern era, masanumasika garbhini paricharya focuses on a structured approach to ante natal care emphasizing specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations for the health of both the mother and the developing child. This includes the prescription of balanced Aahara(food), Vihara(activities), Vichara (mental well-being) for each month of pregnancy. Aimed at ensuring a healthy pregnancy and progeny. As ayurveda highlights the consumption nutrient-rich, foods such as ksheera(milk) and ghrita(ghee) which provide essential proteins, fats, calcium and vitamins necessary for the mother’s health and the growth of the child. This approach highlights the relevance of masanumasika garbhini paricharya in modern era along with significance of dietary choices in preventing complications and promoting healthy lactation post-birth.
