ABSTRACT Niosomes are novel multilamellar or unilamellarvesicle s formed by ahydrating mixture of cholesterol and nonionic surfactant The drug isgenerally encapsulated within the surfactant bilayer membrane .Theyresembles liposomes and can be used as ca rriers for amphiphilic andlipophilic drugs. Phospholipids are class of lipids whose molecule hasa hydrophilic “head” containing a phosphate group and twohydrophobic “tails” derived from fatty acids. The ocimum sanctum gelcontains anti bacterial propert ies and helps in reducing acne andpimples. It is enriched with the goodness of pure neem, which isknown for its anti bacterial properties. The instantly hydrating nonsticky gel helps soothe and calm skin, leaving it purified and healthy. There are sever al methods of preparation of gel. Fusion method, Coldmethod, Dispersion method. The main mechanism of action ofniosomes against resistant S. aureus strains involve the ability to resist enzymaticdegradation, controlled rel ease profile, and targated dru gdelivery, which can provide an effective dosage of antimicrobial agents at the site of action. Keywords: Nanotechnology, Niosomes, Thin film hydration method, Cholesterol, ocimum sanctum. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
