Ashwani Gupta*, Jay Chaurasiya, Mantasha Parveen, Yuvraj Singh and Chaitanya Kadam
ABSTRACT Acne vulgaris is a prevalent skin condition often caused by bacterial activity and excessive sebum production. This study aims to formulate and evaluate an herbal anti-acne cleanser with scrub using natural ingredients such as Neem leaves, Turmeric, Nutmeg, Liquorice root, Honey, Shahi jeera, Lemon juice, sweet lime peel, Rose water, Xanthan gum, and Walnut powder. These components were selected for their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, exfoliating, and skin-rejuvenating properties. The formulation was evaluated for pH, spreadability, stability, and antimicrobial activity against acne-causing bacteria. Neem and Turmeric provided antibacterial effects, Walnut powder ensured gentle exfoliation, and Honey and Rose water offered soothing and hydrating benefits. The results demonstrated significant antibacterial efficacy, excellent stability, and positive useracceptability. This herbal cleanser with scrub offers a safe, effective, and eco- friendly solution for acne management and skincare.
