Rakshitha S., Umamaheshwari K. R., *Vidya K. and Yasashwini B. C.
ABSTRACT Hyperlipidemia is characterized by increased lipid (fat) levels in the blood. The consumption of cranberries or cranberry juice, which are abundant in polyphenols, is connected to several health advantages, such as aiding in weight control, reducing the risk of urinary tract infections, cancer prevention, promoting cardiovascular health, supporting digestive function, offering antibacterial effects, lowering inflammation, preventing heart disease, boosting immune response, and providing a rich source of antioxidants. The ability of cranberries to lower lipid levels is largely due to their phytochemical compounds and fiber, varying with the consumption method. Cranberries are a significant source of flavonoids, including anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins, resveratrol, and phenolic acid. These flavonoids, prevalent in cranberries, can help prevent the oxidation of LDL-cholesterol. Keywords: . [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
