PHARMACEUTICO ANALYTICAL EVALUATION OF HERBAL SOAP PREPARED OF VARNYAKA GANA

ABSTRACT

Herbal soaps are beneficial for skin purification and beautification,providing nourishment with essential nutrients and minerals withoutharmful effects. Skin and hair health are influenced by factors li kelifestyle, health, environment, and maintenance. In hot weather,prolonged sun exposure can cause skin issues like wrinkles,pigmentation, blemishes, and sunburns. The use of herbal remedies hasgrown globally, with around 80% of people in both develope d anddeveloping countries relying on plant extracts for healing. In Ayurveda,skin colour is known as Varna , which is thought to affect the body'sphysiological and pathological state. The term Varnya refers totreatments that restore and maintain the ski n's natural texture and tone.In the Charaka Samhita , a fundamental Ayurvedic text, a group of 10medicinal plants called Varnya Maha Kashaya is mentioned in Chapter4 of Sutrasthana Shad Virechan Shatashriteeya Adhyaya ). Theseplants are known for their ability to promote radiant skin and are usedin Ayurveda to improve complexion and maintain healthyskin The study has showed soapprepared by Varnyaka Gana has good appearance, long lasting aroma, high cleansing, foamingeffect and doesn’t cause any ski n irritation. Here an attempt is made to prepareherbal soap utilizing the drugs from varnyaka Gana.
