ABSTRACT This work focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a Palash Flower herbal soap, incorporating natural ingredients such as Palash Flower extract, coconut oil, orange peel powder, rose oil, and goat milk soap base. The soap was evaluated for various parameters, including organoleptic characteristics, pH, foam retention, antimicrobial activity, moisture content, and stability. The soap exhibited a brown color, odorless fragrance, transparent appearance, and round shape. It demonstrated a basic pH, ensuring compatibility with the skin’s natural barrier, while foam retention lasted for 4 minutes and foam height remained consistent, indicating effective cleansing properties. Antimicrobial testing confirmed its efficacy against microbes, consistent with the known antimicrobial effects of Butea monosperma and orange peel powder. The minimal moisture content improved the soap's shelf life and reduced the risk of microbial contamination. Stability tests showed no changes in the soap’sproperties after 7 days. Overall, the Palash Flower herbal soap offers antibacterial, moisturizing, and exfoliating benefits, making it a viable natural skincare product. Further refinement and testing could optimize its formulation, shelf life, and therapeutic potential, enhancing its effectiveness as a natural alternative for skin care. Keywords: Butea monosperma, Antimicrobial activity, Moisturizing and exfoliating benefits, Stability and formulation optimization. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
