A THOROUGH ANALYSIS OF KOSTHA IN SHARIR KRIYA VIGYAN
Monika Chawla* and Sahil Arora
ABSTRACT Globally, this conventional health system is becoming more significant and well-liked. Ayurveda includes a wide range of ideas. To talk about and comprehend them all would need a great deal of research. Some key ideas include Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Agni, and Koshta. It is imperative that we understand them in order to fully understand Ayurveda. There are two ways to define the term koshtha. The nature of the intestines, the passage of food and feces via the alimentary canal, and the removal of stool are all represented by the koshtha, or hollow sections of the body. Ayurveda is a vast medical science that emphasizes healthy living over illness treatment. Koshtha is one of the special beings found in Ayurveda. The word "koshtha" refers to an open space with a roof where a lot of items can be stored. A member of the Abhyantara Rogamarga is Koshtha. Koshtha Pariksha describes the roughness, moisture content, and liquidity of bowel motions. Diseasediagnosis and therapy depend on the evaluation of koshtha. The selection of aushadhi and aushadhimatra is aided by Koshtha Pariksha. Additionally, Koshtha Pariksha is crucial in advising aahara-vihara and pathya-apathya. Avasthapaka, the term for digestion in Ayurveda, is mentioned in a sequence of events. With the help of three biological Doshas, Agni and Panchamahabhuta finally complete this intricate event. The current subjects go into further detail to emphasize the part played by Agni and Panchamahbhuta in Kostha, which may have contemporary significance. Keywords: Kostha, Jathragni, Mahasrotas, Tridosa, Rogamarga. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
