REVIEW ON FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL LIPSTICK

ABSTRACT

Herbal lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, fragrance, preservative, colours, texture and protection to lips. Lipstick formulation is used to augment the beauty of lips. Herbal lipsticks are gaining popularity because natural cosmetics are safe. It is easy to use and handle by women. This product has increased and choice shades of colour, texture, and lustre have changed and become wider. The natural nutrients or chemicals in the herbal lipstick make it safe to use and maintain healthy lips. The primary subject of this review are lipsticks natural components, formulation extracts, and flaws. The reason we use herbal lipstick is because it has no negative effect. The synthetic lipsticks give harmful effects to the lips. This research provides guidelines on the use of herbal ingredients on the preparation of lipsticks having minimal or no side effects. This review mainly focuses on natural ingredients, formulation, extracts and defects in lipsticks. There is no any side effect in herbal lipstick that’s why we are doing Herbal Lipstick. Also doing the evaluation parameters like smoothness, greatness, melting point, breaking point, pH parameters.
