FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF POLYHERBAL SKINCARE CREAM

ABSTRACT Polyherbal formulation has been used all around the world due to itsmedicinal, therapeutic application and also for better culturalacceptability and compatibility. It has also known as Polyherbaltherapy or herb herb combination . People use herbal medicines tomaintain or improve their health. Herbs generally refers to the leafygreen or flowering parts of a plant (either fresh or dried), while spicesare usually dried and produced from other parts of the plant, includingseeds, bark, roots and fruits. It is estimated t hat nearly 960 plantspecies are used by the Indian herbal industries. The people are movingtowards herbal products because it has very less side effects. Creamsprepared by herbal ingredients having lesser side effects are better thansynthetic ingredien ts. These plants have been used since long forhaving good antimicrobial, antiseptic, anti oxidant and antiinflammatory activities in them. To keep skin healthy, clear and glossyagainst various odds like dryness, roughness, skin redness and pimples thisherbal face creamhas been formulated. Herbal face cream was prepared and evaluated and the results werefound to be satisfactory.
