AN INTER-DISCIPLINARY DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON NISARGOPCHAR CHIKITSA THROUGH AYURVEDA’S LENS

ABSTRACT

External remedies of Nisargopchar - Panchmahabhuta Principles ofAyurved – an attempt to establish cause - effect relationship to sometreatment modules of Nisargopchar through principles of Ayurved.Need for the studySimilarity between Ayurved Principles of Panchmahabhuta (i.e.Prithvi, Aap, Tej, Vaayu and Aakash) and therapeutic application of itin Nisargopchar Chikitsa noted. Although these five elements are innerves of Ayurved, Nisargopachar uses Panchmahabhuta for treatmentpurposes in raw form with different perspective. Guna ofPanchmahabhuta explained in Ayurved and their application fortreatments given in Nisargopachar could be correlated to helpNisargopchar establish cause – effect relationship to their externalnatural remedies.
