EMERGING TRENDS IN CANCER TREATMENT: IMMUNOTHERAPY, CISPLATIN, AND BEYOND
Parvinlal Siraswal*
ABSTRACT The landscape of cancer treatment is undergoing a significant transformation with the emergence of immunotherapy and the continued use of traditional chemotherapeutic agents like cisplatin. Immunotherapy, particularly checkpoint inhibitors and CAR-T cell therapy, has revolutionized cancer treatment by enhancing the immune system's ability to target and eliminate cancer cells. Meanwhile, cisplatin remains a cornerstone in chemotherapy, effectively treating various solid tumors. This review examines the synergistic effects of combining immunotherapy with chemotherapy, explores emerging therapies such as targeted treatments, PARP inhibitors, and nanotechnology-based approaches, and discusses the challenges and future directions in the evolving field of cancer treatment. Keywords: Cancer Treatment, Immunotherapy, Cisplatin, Checkpoint Inhibitors, Car-T Cell Therapy, Targeted Therapies, Parp Inhibitors, Nanotechnology. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
