ABSTRACT This study set out to evaluate the phytochemical content and biological activities, such as antioxidant and antibacterial properties, of a methanol extract of leaves from the Corchorus olitorius L. plant. It was determined that the methanol extract could withstand LC-MS testing. In vitro tests for antioxidant and antibacterial effects were also conducted on the extract. The methanolic extract included 96 different phytochemicals, as shown by the 96 peaks in the LC-MS analysis. With a MIC of 125 μg/mL, the methanolic extract demonstrated strong antibacterial activity against E. coli. A robust antioxidant response was shown in DPPH tests. Important diagnostic features for the species Corchorus olitorius are provided in this article. Keywords: Corchorus olitorius, LC-MS, Antioxidant activity, Antibacterial activity, Molecular docking.
