Deepanshi Nema*, Dr. O. P. Singh, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Shweta G. Shukla

ABSTRACT

A frequent gastrointestinal condition in Ayurveda, Grahani Roga is compared with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in modern medicine. It is characterized by irregular bowel movements, abdominal discomfort, and digestive difficulties. In this case study, a 32-year-old male patient who presents with altered bowel movements, bloating, chronic abdominal discomfort, mucus mixed with stool, burning sensation and heaviness in abdomen and reduced appetite is used to examine the effectiveness of Souvarchaladi Churna in controlling Grahani Roga with dietary changes and lifestyle modifications based on Ayurvedic principles. Additionally, to treat psychosomatic aspects contributing to the disease, yoga and stress management approaches were implemented. The patient saw notable symptom improvements overthe course of the 45 days therapy, including lessened stomach discomfort and regularized bowel motions. This case study demonstrates the potential of Ayurvedic treatment methods for Grahani Roga, indicating the symptoms relief and improved patient outcomes may be achieved through a comprehensive strategy.
