ABSTRACT

Osteoarthritis is a chronic degenerative joint disease that occurs when the cartilage that cushions the end of the bones wears down over time. It’s the most common type of arthritis and can affect any joint but most often affects the hands, knee, hip or spine. On the basis of our Siddha text osteoarthritis is interconnected with keelvayu these are 80 types of vatha disease as explained in yugivathiya chinthamani 800.siddha literatures and indexed journel are the main source of this review. The aim of the review is to prove the efficacy in treating the disease osteoarthritis the chemical constituents, action and uses taken from various journals and Siddha Literatures helps in findings the evidenced based polyherbal formulation THIRIKADUGU KASAYAM is in using osteoarthritis.
