Abstract

DETERMINATION OF PHYTOCHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS IN SEED OF TRIGONELLA FOENUM-GRAECUM PLANT FROM KARMAD AREA OF AURANGABAD IN MAHARASHTRA STATE

ABSTRACT

Trigonella foenum-graecum also called methi in India have created its own important in the food dishes as well as salad. In Indian as well as all countries throughout the world. Trigonella foenum-graecum contain very important and useful ingredient which are useful for the growth and development of human being and metabolic activities. Up till now Fabaceae from karmad of Aurangabad district is untouched for phytochemical analysis. Considering all these things the phytochemical analysis of Trigonella foenum-graecum that is methi from karmad region were investigated and in phytochemical analysis alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, phenol, protein, carbohydrates were obtained.
