REVIEW ON: POLYHERBAL SCRUB

ABSTRACT

Cosmetics are products utilized for cleansing, enhancing beauty, improving attractiveness, or altering appearance. They promote better blood circulation and enhance oxygenation throughout all skin surfaces. Cosmetics play a crucial role in promoting a joyful and confident life for everyone. Currently, herbal cosmeceuticals are in high demand due to their absence of side effects. Individuals with oily skin often face issues like acne, whiteheads, and blackheads, making exfoliation essential. In our recent research, we developed a gel-based scrub specifically for oily skin. This formulation incorporates coffee seed, turmeric powder, aloe vera, neem leaves powder, orange peel powder, green tea, sandalwood powder, Multani mitti (Fuller's earth), honey, and rose water. We evaluated the scrub using various parameters including physical appearance, viscosity, pH balance, spreadability, irritability, washability, consistency, colour, odour, grittiness and stability studies. The results were highly promising across all tests.
