Abstract

A REVIEW ARTICLE ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN PHARMACY

Sadhana Shahi*, Aarti Kakarwal and Aarti Karwande

ABSTRACT

The Scientist John McCarthy coined the "artificial intelligence" in 1956. AI was first used in engineering many years ago, but in the last few years, it has also been used in business, healthcare, and pharmacy, among other fields.[26] Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the study of how computers and other machines think, act, and behave like humans. Here, we discuss the types, applications, roles, benefits, and drawbacks of artificial intelligence in the pharmacy industry because of the way they operate, robots are employed in many medical procedures. and have reached greater heights than humans.[27] Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become increasingly important in pharmacy and has changed several facets of pharmacy careers. This essay examines the changing field of artificial intelligence in pharmacy and its ramifications. By evaluating enormous volumes of molecular data and forecasting drug-rget interactions, artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the processes involved in drug discovery and development, resulting in more productive and economical drug development. Another field that nefits from AI is personalized medicine, where the analysis of genetic and molecular data allows for the customization of pharmacological regimens and the enhancement of treatment outcomes.[1] Additionally, by detecting possible drug interactions, guaranteeing patient safety, and improving medicine prescriptions and dosages, AI-powered solutions help pharmacists with medication management.

Keywords: Artificial intelligence, Clinical pharmacy, Robotics, Healthcare.
