ABSTRACT
The main objective is to evaluate the Antiurolithiatic activity of proprietary of and methanolic and Ethanolic extract of Leaves and roots the plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton in experimental models of urolithiasis and to derive the possible mechanism of action. The Antiurolithiatic activity of the Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of Leaves and roots of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton was evaluated by Sodium Oxalate (70mg/kg) and urolithiasis in male wistar rats. Invitro test (Nucleation assay) was performed to evaluate Antiurolithiatic activity of Methanolic and Ethanolic Extract of leaves and roots plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton. Several renal function and injury markers in urine and serum were measured. Then results of Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of leaves and roots of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton at a dose of 2000 mg/kg, b.w. was found to be safe. Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton exhibited protective effect against Sodium Oxalate (70mg/kg) and induced urolithiasis models. The drugs Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton exhibited protective effect against Sodium Oxalate (70mg/kg) and induced
urolithiasis models. The drugs Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton normalize biochemical changes of urea, uric acid, creatinine, LDH, Mg, Phosphorous, Calcium, Oxalate in serum & urine oxalate (P<0.05, **P<0.01, *P<0.001), Significantly in both the models. The Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of leaves and roots of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton Shows more Percentage Inhibition of nucleation by Invitro method. Then concluded based on the results, that is the Methanolic and Ethanolic and Extract of plant Crotalaria Pallida Aiton showed Antiurolithiatic and diuretic property.
