Abstract

REVIEW ARTICLE ON BLACKSTONE FLOWER

ABSTRACT

Lichens are known for their secondary metabolites and thrombolytic activities. Parmotrema perlatum is commonly known as canary moss or Mangalore spice. In Indian tradition, this lichen is used as a spice in dishes. Using P. The basis of perlatum in medicine is that it has many bioactive substances and signs such as natural antioxidants, antimicrobials and anticoagulants. They are considered potential drugs because they are natural antibiotics and their metabolites have many biological effects, including antibiotics, antibiotics, antibiotics, antibiotics, antibiotics, drugs Antibiotics and cytotoxic drugs. They contain various metabolites flavonoids, terpenes and saponins. Lichens
have many activities and can be used as active ingredients in medicinal preparations. As a result, many phytochemicals such as terpenoids, flavonoids, glycosides, carbohydrates and proteins found in leaf extracts emerge. Fresh leaf aqueous extract, chloroform and methanol extracts of Parmotrema perlatum and Vitex negundo were prepared and the activities of Parmotrema perlatum and Vitex negundo were investigated by in vitro anti-inflammatory method. The study showed significant results.[3]
