ABSTRACT
Nocturnal Enuresis is the intermittent involuntary incontinence that occurs during periods of sleep, in children over 5 years of age that occurs more than once per month over a period of more than three months. The findings indicate the peduncle extracts the plant Pandanus Odoratissimus L increase the capacity of the bladder which is an indicator of muscle relaxation with no direct effect on the muscle of dissected bladders. In this study before selection of excipients, the Preformulation study of any API should be completed for any successful formulations. Preformulation studies like organoleptic properties, solubility, bulk density, flow properties, analytical wavelength (λ max) detections, extract-excipients physical and chemical compatibility by MP, IR, and calibration curve of extract were studied. It was discovered that the melting point was 106-112°C, and the UV spectrum analysis revealed that the maximum value of λ was 250nm. The physicochemical compatibility studies results indicate that there was no interaction between extract and the selection excipients. Linear relationship obtained from calibration curve, were
investigated and reported.
Keywords: excipients. Linear relationship obtained from calibration curve, were investigated and reported.
