CHARACTERIZATION OF GRAPES FRUITS AND APPETITE STIMULANT SYRUP FORMULATION

ABSTRACT
Vitis vinifera L. are a well-known grape species from western Asia and southern Europe that belong to the Vitis genus of the Vitaceae family. Antioxidant neutralizes free radicals, unstable oxygen molecules that break down skin cells and cause wrinkles, thus preventing impairment at the cellular level. In the present work, face cream formulations were prepared using antioxidant from natural source. Raspberry extract and grape seed extract was used. Grape is one of the largest commodities in agriculture. The grape farming is called as viticulture. Around 10,000 varieties of grape are there in this world. d. Several varieties of Vitis vinifera are available in India. Phytochemistry, pharmacological, nutraceutical, traditional uses of Vitis vinifera are been presented in this review. The main biologically active and well-characterized constituent from the grape is resveratrol, which is known for various medicinal properties in human diseases. This review discusses the roles of various grape-derived phytochemicals in relation to various diseases. Currently, cosmetic manufacturers are focusing their efforts on developing innovative natural products to address skin-care, thus meeting consumers’ needs of healthy appearance and well-being. This review presents an overview of the application of phenolic compounds from grape products and byproducts as sources of natural ingredients for cosmetics i.e. in skin care.
