ABSTRACT
Dapagliflozin HCl is a Anti-diabetic drug. The objectives of the present investigation were to formulate and evaluate of Medicated oral jelly containing dapagliflozin HCl for the treatment of diabetics. Many childrens and elderly patients are medicinal phobic who are afraid of taking medicine, so this preparation is most beneficial to them by incorporate dapagliflozin HCl jelly and give to those patients. Jellies are prepared by heating and congealing methods by using gelling and thickening agents like Agar, Pectin, Guar gum in water and evaluated for their physicochemical parameters like Physical Appearance, Weight variation, pH, Stickiness and Grittiness, viscosity Study, Content uniformity, In-vitro dissolution study, stability studies. All batches (F1-F4) of medicated jelly showed acceptable and comparable appearance, pH, viscosity, stability studies, drug release, and content uniformity. The weight variation was found to be 3.572±0.3 to 5.315±0.3. The viscosity range was found to be 53498 to 61731cps. According to drug release profile the formulation F1 was concluded as the best formulation among other formulations and It is very effective for the treatment of diabetics.
