ABSTRACT
Immunological infertility in terms of reproductive failure has become a serious health issue involving approximately 1 out of 5 couples at reproductive age. The immune rejection of male semen in female reproductive tract is explained as failure of natural tolerance leading to local/ systemic immune response. Recent studies address the great influence of immune system on female as well as male infertility. Ayurveda being the pioneer of establishing reproductive health modules, emphasizes every aspect of reproductive failure and gives the concept of Vamini yonivyapad, the disease of females which leads to expulsion of male beeja Sukra) from female genital tract and as a result, leads to complication like vandhatwa (Infertility). This paper summarizes the concept of Vamini yonivyapad and its correlation with female infertility due to immune- rejection of male sperms in genital
