ABSTRACT
Transdermal medication administration is one of the most convenient and minimally painful methods are available. Drugs applied to the skin through transdermal medication delivery were first utilized in 1981 to provide systematic effect. The transdermal patch or transdermal drug delivery system is one of the Novel Drug Delivery System (NDDS). A transdermal patch offers a controlled release of the medication into the patient, typically through either a porous membrane covering a reservoir of medication or through body heat melting thin layers of medication embedded in the adhesive.
