ABSTRACT
The pallor on the skin is a significant diagnostic feature of Pandu Roga, which is produced by a quantitative and qualitative deficiency of Raktu dhatu (blood tissue), which can be caused by a lack of haemoglobin and/or red blood cells. The clinical signs and symptoms of Pandu and Anemia are similar, the clinical condition of Pandu in Ayurveda can be linked to Anaemia as described in mainstream medicine. Anemia is described as a drop in haemoglobin concentration below the normal range found in healthy people. Because IDA is a very frequent disease in society, and the adverse effects of oral allopathic iron preparations are extremely common, Ayurvedic herbs-mineral medicine is a superior choice.
