ABSTRACT
The goal of the current study was to develop mouth-dissolving films (MDFs) of the anti-emetic drug, rotundine to improve patient convenience and compliance in geriatric and paediatric patients for improved therapeutic efficacy. Oral film was prepared by solvent casting method. The film former HPMC E5 and PEG 400 as plasticizer, Tween 80 as surfactant, sucralose as sweetener to formulate MDFs. All formulations were evaluated for thickness, folding endurance, weight variation, surface pH, disintegration and in vitro dissolution. The formulation F8 had shown a significant result of In
vitro drug release 93.45 % within 10 minutes.
