FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF FACE SCRUB FOR SKIN EXFOLIATION

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to create a facial scrub that was composed of a range of natural ingredients. The cleansing process is necessary for the maintenance of the skin's health and nourishment, as it removes impurities, dead skin cells, and sebum. Almond powder was used as a natural exfoliating agent. Sandalwood powder was used for anti-aging and orange peel powder was used to protect the skin. Rose water was also added to the formulation for hydration. Additionally, glycerin was added to the formulation along with neem powder, tea tree oil, turmeric, rosemary oil, and perfume. All of these substances possess anti-toxic, antibacterial, antioxidant, and rejuvenating qualities. The formulation was evaluated for its organoleptic properties and pH as well as its washability, irritability, and spreadability. The results of this study were satisfactory. The prepared formulation is effective in promoting healthy and luminous skin.
