Abstract

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL TOOTHPASTE & COMPARISON WITH MARKET TOOTHPASTE

ABSTRACT

In the present scenario, demands of herbal based toothpastes are increasing day by day. Due to their safety and effectiveness in decreasing dental cavities and preventing other dental diseases to which this generation is predisposed, herbal toothpaste is made of natural ingredients which currently preferred by the general public over synthetic formulations based on chemicals. Aloe Vera gel, clove oil, neem powder, pomegranate peel powder, and trikatu powder are the ingredients in this composition. These extracts have numerous beneficial effects, including the ability to heal wounds and inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. They also have anti-ulcer, anti-caries, and anti-bacterial properties. With this herbal-based formulation, a comparison of herbal toothpastes that had previously have been commercialized which was carried out to acquire a better understanding of crucial physical factors like pH, stability, spreadability, and foamability. And these observations disseminates that our herbal based toothpaste formulation having natural ingredients is as right as in phrases of results evaluate to advertised natural formulations.
